Many manufacturers directly purchase Bluetooth chips or modules that have been certified by Bluetooth, and then develop Bluetooth products. For many reasons, the RF performance of Bluetooth final products will change. Therefore, the RF performance of the products must be tested during R&D and production. To ensure that its wireless indicators meet the requirements of the Bluetooth RF specification.

The Bluetooth SIG's Bluetooth test specification defines Bluetooth wireless test metrics and their test methods. The Bluetooth wireless test configuration includes a tester and DUT under test. The two can be connected by RF line or by antenna coupling. The tester sends an instruction to activate the DUT into test mode and configure some parameters of the Bluetooth link between the tester and the DUT. If the test mode is loopback or transmission mode, whether frequency hopping is required, whether the packet is a single-slot packet or a multi-slot packet.
