Apple iPhone 7 reportedly waterproof

According to the latest rumors, Apple iPhone 7 to be released in the second half of next year will adopt new composite materials that can be waterproof and can hide the antenna. According to a report from the Bay Business Times on Tuesday, Catcher is expected to provide 30% to 35% of the iPhone 7's body shell, which will make it Apple's largest body shell supplier.

Despite previous rumors that the iPhone 7 has a waterproof design, but did not mention the antenna changes, Apple may want to integrate the antenna into the iPhone 7 shell. Previously due to the addition of gaskets and various silicone seals, the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have been more waterproof than their predecessors. Because of the waterproof design, iPhone 7 will involve a thorough redesign including how to seal ports, switches and buttons.

There are also rumors that Apple is considering non-metal fuselage, other materials may increase the stability of the structure and/or reduce manufacturing costs. Apple previously used the more rugged, more expensive 7000 aluminum alloy on the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus.
