1) Economics: In order to save costs, the number of electrical circuits in this design is generally small. The design often only focuses on the control of large areas. If the electrical circuit is subdivided from the perspective of humanization and energy saving, it will result in A large increase in investment costs is unwilling to be seen by investors. However, the reduction in the loop, in turn, has substantially increased the cost of ownership (electricity) for the final owner.

2) Convenience: Since this type of design usually does not set the switch on site, and all the lighting circuits are controlled centrally through the BAS central control room, the user cannot switch and adjust according to the actual situation of the site, and cannot interfere with the state and illumination of the lighting. It is very inconvenient for practical use. At the same time, because the control function is too simple, the traditional lighting design can only realize the function of simple time switch in the building automation (BAS) system. If you want to realize scene preset, scene change and brightness adjustment in a specific area, the actual operation The technical difficulty is still quite large.

3) Independence: Since such simple superimposed lighting systems are not really a separate subsystem, the lighting system will be affected at the same time when the building automation system (BAS) fails, especially for emergency evacuation lighting. For the lighting circuit, this is absolutely unforgivable.

The Intelligent Lighting (EIB) system is an intelligent system developed specifically for lighting needs. It can not only operate independently, but also achieve the effects that traditional lighting design in existing smart buildings cannot achieve. Such as Siemens (Instabus EIB), Axi Brown Buffalo (ABB) intelligent lighting system, it has a separate control protocol, and control is simpler than the BAS system, but also can meet the general architecture The need for lighting control.

The intelligent lighting system based on system bus, its open protocol and flexible connection method ensure the openness of the system. Its main functions and features are as follows:

1) Simple and economical design. The system's lighting circuit is simple in design, easy to install, easy to operate and maintain, its software programmability and flexible structure of hardware, which greatly saves the investment cost and maintenance operation cost of the construction developer, shortens the installation period and improves the return on investment.

The various input, output and system support units in the system can be connected by intelligent lighting system controllers. The large-section load cables are directly connected from the output of the output unit to the lighting fixtures or other electrical loads without having to go through the switch. It is not necessary to consider any control relationship. After the entire system is installed, the address codes of each unit are set by software to establish a corresponding control relationship. Installation requires only a load cable connection between the output unit and the load, which saves a lot of cables and reduces construction time and labor costs.

2) Intelligent control saves costs. Because the intelligent lighting system uses the control software to remotely control and centrally monitor the entire lighting system, the control relationship can be modified at any time and conveniently according to user requirements. When it is necessary to change the lighting control relationship for some reason, it is only necessary to modify it in the software without re-laying the cable.

At the same time, due to the use of infrared sensors, brightness sensors, timing switches and dimming technology and intelligent operation mode, any single point, double point, multi-point, area, group logic control, time switch, brightness hand / automatic adjustment Infrared monitoring, remote control, scene combination and other lighting control functions can not only display rich lighting effects, but also enable the entire lighting system to operate accurately according to the best economic solution, thus greatly reducing operating management costs and maximizing energy conservation. . 3) It can better reflect the compatibility and functional diversity of the system. Since the system state and control commands are stored in each input and output unit in the system, no data is lost after power failure. When the power is restored, the system automatically restores the working state before the power failure according to the preset memory parameters, thereby achieving unattended operation.

At the same time, the control loop is separated from the load loop. The input and output unit is connected to the bus by only one two-core control line, and a new control unit can be added at any time in the network.
