EIDC Technical Features The EIDC technology uses the detection and acquisition of parameters such as distortion, and uses the distortion as the basis for adjustment control. This is different from the conventional negative voltage feedback circuit and the negative current feedback circuit uses the output voltage or current value. Because the speaker is an inductive load and an instantaneous music signal with complex frequency changes, it is difficult to use the output voltage or current to reflect the actual output power, distortion, and temperature characteristics of the amplifier. The EIDC uses distortion as an intelligent control to ensure the quality of the output sound and to avoid damage to the power amplifier and speaker system.
EIDC uses single-chip micro-processors (MCUs) and software programming algorithms to perform parameter calculations. Due to the MCU programming, an optimized software algorithm can be used to achieve the distortion acquisition, instead of the expensive and complicated hardware circuit and its complicated hardware debugging work, the parameters in the control algorithm can also be flexibly adjusted. For different grades of products, software algorithms can also be properly revised.
The electronic volume integrated block is used to connect to the MCU via I2C bus or other IO modes, so that the MCU can intelligently adjust the gain according to the needs of the system.
EIDC control is different from ordinary AGC automatic gain control. The AGC generally uses the output voltage as feedback to control the gain of the amplifier. Its effect is continuous, single adjustment. The EIDC uses the distortion as the basis to intelligently control the gain of the amplifier. Due to the software algorithm of the MCU, the integral or segmented adjustments can be made. The gain adjustment is not continuous, but is based on the actual analysis of the system. The time to make appropriate adjustments is done without the user's knowledge. In this way, the problem that the sound of the AGC is easy to appear is avoided, and the dynamics of the original music are ensured.
