Intel’s recent momentum in the automotive industry is fierce. The chip maker has already signed a cooperation agreement with BMW. Both parties plan to have highly automated driving (level 3) and fully automated driving (level 4/5) before 2021. The solution went into mass production; Intel later announced that it had announced a partnership with Waymo, the parent company of Google’s parent company, Automated Driving.
Now, Intel has taken away the business of Nvidia and will provide Tesla, an electric vehicle manufacturer, with an infotainment system chip.

Bloomberg News learned from informed sources that Intel will provide Tesla Motors with giant screen car infotainment chips in the future. Prior to this, Tesla’s supplier was Nvidia. Not only that, Tesla Model 3 and other models of new cars will use Intel's processing modules.
