When the motor is running, the static phase advancer is connected in series in the motor circuit. When the motor is running, the rotor current and the synchronous voltage signal are collected, and the trigger signal is sent to the thyristor after being processed by the microprocessor CPU. An AC-AC converter composed of a thyristor converts the power frequency power source into a power source of the same frequency as the rotor current, and adds it to the rotor circuit of the motor to change the phase relationship between the rotor current and the rotor voltage, and thereby change the stator current of the motor through the magnetic field. The phase relationship with the stator voltage reduces the power factor angle and improves the motor power factor. The stator current is reduced, the copper loss and temperature rise of the motor itself are reduced, and the overload capability of the motor is improved, thereby improving the running condition of the motor.
Simply put, the phaser can turn the motor into a "pseudo-synchronous" or "sub-synchronous" state. Equivalent to a synchronous motor. Of course not running at synchronous speed, but a bit similar. The power factor of the synchronous motor is close to 1, so it saves power compared to the asynchronous motor.
