They performed sliding tests on several premium automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) based on the standard VDA230-206 measurement mode on Ziegler Instruments' test machines.
They obtained a "very positive" result with a minimum risk level of 1 at a possible maximum score of 10. The tests were carried out with different forces (10 N and 40 N) and speeds (1 mm/s and 4 mm/s) in different temperature ranges. The key properties of the material are consistent with ElixPolymer's base polymer, meaning that there is no change to the existing OEM certification for its grade, and the shrinkage of the material remains the same so that the current mold can be used without further modification.
