The Idaho News Tribune said that the P-47 Thunderbolt fighter (nicknamed "Dorty May") will fly at the 2017 Old Aircraft Show at the Hawking Aviation Museum from August 26th to 27th.
Officials said that the aircraft participated in the Second World War and fell into Lake Traun on May 8, 1945. The pilot was rescued at the time, but the plane sank to the bottom of the lake.
In 2005, workers found the wreckage at the bottom of the 70-meter-deep lake and brought it to the ground.
The owner of the aircraft transported it to Caldwell's factory and began repairs in 2009.
