Humidity sensitive capacitance and TLC555 can be used to measure relative humidity. TLC555 features high timing accuracy, high operating speed and reliability, wide supply voltage range, and simple structure. It is internally composed of RS flip-flop, comparator, output stage, voltage divider and discharge electronic switch. As shown in Figure 4, C8 is a humidity sensor. It and R24, R36, R38, and TLC555 form an unsteady indirect feedback multivibrator that converts relative humidity into a frequency signal.
