Due to LiFi's attribute limitations, it is not destined to completely replace current wireless devices. However, it can complement the coverage area of ​​WiFi. Between existing networks, by adding a new element of visible light communication, business interoperability and technology complement each other, and a perfect fusion can be formed. In a word, it is not a competitor to Wi-Fi, but a complementary technology.
However, as an emerging technology, there are still many problems to be solved in order to realize large-scale commercial applications and bring large-scale market applications.
