Seoul Semiconductor [stock listing number: KOSDAQ 046890], one of the world's leading manufacturers of light-emitting diode (LED) environmentally-friendly lighting technology, today announced the successful development and launch of the ultra-bright LED-Z-Power P7 series. The Z-Power P7 series is a single-package LED that delivers 900 lumens per watt of the world's brightest light and is in production today. A 10 watt P7 single-package LED can produce up to 900 lumens of light, which is much higher than the 660 lumens of a typical 60-watt conventional bulb. In addition, the Z-Power P7 series is eight times more efficient than conventional bulbs.

The Z-Power P7 series is also superior to traditional light bulbs in terms of energy efficiency. This significant progress marks the beginning of a single LED entering the general lighting market, which is not far off. A typical 60 watt conventional bulb has an efficiency of only about 11 lumens per watt, while the Z-Power P7 series delivers 900 lumens of brightness and achieves 90 lumens per watt. With the rise in oil prices and rising environmental awareness, and stimulating global interest in energy efficiency system demand, the breakthrough progress of this year's Seoul Semiconductor Z-Power P7 series is timely.

The Z-Power P7 series is 1.5 times more efficient than a power-saving bulb, up to 90 lumens per watt.

The Z-Power P7 series also has excellent performance compared to the performance of the popular energy-saving bulbs. In the case of 15 watts of power consumption and 924 lumens of light, the efficiency of the energy-saving bulb is 61 lumens / watt; while the efficiency of the Z-Power P7 series is 1.5 times that of the energy-saving bulb, up to 90 lumens / watt.
