Available in 8-pin m-SOP package and 8-pin SOIC package, the DS1722 is a low-cost, low-power, three-bus digital temperature sensor. This article analyzes the functions, features, and applications of the digital temperature sensor DS1722. On the basis of the timing, a temperature measuring system composed of the sensor DS1722 and the single chip 89C51 is designed. The digital temperature sensor DS1722 has an error of less than ±0.5°C in the temperature range from 0°C to 100°C and a maximum transmission distance of 5m.
