Shanghai World Expo Center structure capping
On the 30th, the last steel structure of the Shanghai World Expo Center was slowly hoisted in the Expo Park. This means that the Expo Center, one of the permanent buildings of the Shanghai World Expo, will be structurally capped. The building is also the first large permanent venue construction project in the park to achieve structural closure.
It is reported that the Expo Center project is located in the riverside green area of ​​the B area of ​​the Shanghai World Expo Planning Fence Area, south of Puming Road and east to the Expo Axis. The project covers an area of ​​6.65 hectares and the total construction area is about 142,000 square meters. Among them, there are 100,000 square meters above ground, 42,000 square meters underground, and the building height is about 40 meters.
According to reports, the Expo Center is one of the first projects in China to receive the highest level of certification for China's green buildings. At the same time, the Expo Center will build green buildings according to international standards. According to the US GBCLEED Gold Awards for energy-saving and environmentally friendly green building grading systems, the design requirements are strictly Construction, and use energy-saving and environmental protection technologies such as LED lighting, ice storage, river water source and rainwater collection.
The reporter learned that the Expo Center is currently applying for the certification of the US LEED Gold Award for the global authoritative green building demonstration standard. It is said that the Expo Center is the first Expo building to apply for the award in the history of the Expo.
As one of the permanent preserved buildings of the Shanghai World Expo, the Expo Center will be used as a venue for World Expo celebrations, receptions and forums during the Shanghai World Expo in 2010. After the World Expo, it will be transformed into a world-class conference center.
In addition, according to the relevant person in charge of the Shanghai Construction Engineering Seven Construction Company, the Expo Center has completed the construction of the basement and steel structure, and will soon enter the climax of the comprehensive construction of electromechanical installation and facade curtain wall.
