The elbow flowmeter has a wide measuring range, high reproducibility accuracy, no additional pressure loss, small on-site maintenance, low operating costs, and can realize online temperature and pressure compensation. The elbow sensor is divided into two types according to the installation method: an S-type elbow sensor installed on a straight pipe, and an L-type elbow sensor installed in a natural turn. 1. When installing L-type elbow flowmeter:
1. First, take two straight sections with the same pipe diameter as the pressure bend pipe. The length is more than 1 diameter.
2. On the well-conditioned platform (or flat ground), the two straight sections taken and the pressure-bent elbow are welded to a 90o vertical state, and welding quality is guaranteed.
3, the prefabricated pipe rack and process piping welding.
4. The elbow sensor is welded to the process pipe to make it work in a horizontal space as much as possible. When the site does not have horizontal installation conditions, it can be installed in a vertical space.
Second, the S-type elbow flow sensor and the process pipeline are flanged and can be flowed according to the sensor sign and docked with the process pipeline in a horizontal space.
When installing the elbow flow sensor, the length of the straight pipe section at the front end should be greater than 5 times the diameter, and the length of the straight pipe section at the rear end should be greater than 2 times the diameter.
Check before work
1. Check whether the piping, installation and wiring of each transmitter (including differential pressure, pressure and temperature transmitter) are correct.
2. Check whether all welded joints and threaded joints are tight and not leaked.
3, check the secondary instrument wiring is correct, and the connection between the transmitter is correct, focus on checking the power connector position.
