The notification requires all localities to fulfill their responsibilities and strengthen the management of urban lighting energy conservation in accordance with the overall deployment of national energy conservation and emission reduction. The administrative department in charge of housing and urban-rural construction at the provincial level shall, in conjunction with the energy-saving administrative department at the same level, propose rectification opinions, supervise and urge the relevant cities to rectify within a time limit, and handle them in accordance with the relevant provisions of the “Regulations on Urban Lighting Managementâ€.
