At the same time, the Chinese government also held a press conference to phase out incandescent lamps as early as November 4, 2011, aiming to promote the optimization and upgrading of the structure of China's lighting industry and help the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” energy-saving and emission reduction tasks. The "Announcement on the gradual ban on the import and sale of incandescent lamps for general lighting" was issued. It was decided that from October 1, 2012, incandescent lamps of general lighting should be gradually banned from importing and selling in accordance with the power level.

It is understood that incandescent delisting, the lighting market is the most concerned about the energy-saving lamps and LED two major players. Because LEDs have significant features such as high efficiency, energy saving, durability, and low carbon environmental protection compared to other lighting products, LEDs are generally recognized as the future direction of the lighting industry.

Although LED lighting has surpassed energy-saving lamps in all aspects of data, due to the lack of core technologies for domestic LED products at the current stage, product prices are high and cost-effective. At the same time, the domestic LED market is a mixed bag, and the overall quality of the products is worrying. Each step in the production of LEDs is related to the quality and durability of the entire product.

Although from the perspective of long-term development, LED lighting has outstanding advantages and fully meets domestic and international market demands and energy-saving and emission reduction. However, subject to multi-conditional restrictions, LED bulbs are required to fully popularize the domestic market and dominate the lighting industry. Energy-saving lamps are still the best choice for replacing high-energy lighting products such as incandescent lamps and halogen lamps.
