It was revealed that Apple will use this new technology to improve the battery life of mobile phones and watches, as well as the display resolution of the screen.
LTPO is the abbreviation of Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide, and the Chinese name is Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide. It is a new technology patent for the next generation of organic light-emitting diodes (OLED). Its function is the same as the LTPS TFT (low temperature polysilicon thin film transistor) used in mainstream mobile devices. It is used on the substrate to control the pixel display effect of the OLED.
Apple’s new research is called LTPO TFT (Low Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) technology, which can increase power saving performance by 5% to 15%, thereby reducing the power consumption of the display. Simply put, it is to improve electronic efficiency and reduce the possibility of leakage.
However, it is still unclear when this technology will appear in Apple products. Apple has obtained patents for this technology in 2014 and 2015, but it seems that it does not have the conditions for mass production. However, it is basically confirmed that the combination of LTPO TFT+OLED should become the standard configuration of iPhone in the future.
Speaking of the battery life of Apple's mobile phones, since the new phones released by Apple last year, all series support wireless charging. Apple's move can be said to stimulate the development of the wireless charging market. With the re-emergence of wireless charging, there will be more and more terminal devices supporting wireless charging, and wireless charging infrastructure in public places will gradually take shape.
