On March 8, 2017, Pacific Time, the traditional ecliptic auspicious day in the West should be opened.
Google, Facebook and Udacity have held their own AI-related conferences at almost the same time, and each has important news announcements. For example, Google has launched a new API that can identify video content, and Facebook has released a new GPU server Big Basin. Udacity and Didi hosted the Unmanned Car Challenge.
Xiaobian has integrated all the points here, "all the best in the world."
Google Cloud Next'17 Li Feifei speaks at the conference
New API: Identify objects in the video
The Google Cloud Next'17 conference opened in San Francisco this morning, and Google announced at the conference a new machine learning API that can identify objects in the video for easy searching.
Previously, similar cloud services could only be used for the identification of still images. With the help of the new Video Intelligence API, developers can build apps that let users search for "cats and dogs" or "flowers and plants" in the video. In addition to extracting metadata, this API also marks changes in the scene in the video.
Google Cloud official website provides a demo demo of the new API, and currently allows developers to apply for internal testing.
Li Feifei, chief scientist of Google Cloud Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, also appeared at the Next'17 conference today. She said in her speech that video has long been a challenge for machine learning researchers, but the new API allows information to be extracted from video. It becomes as simple as extracting information from a picture.
Acquisition of Kaggle
Kaggle, the world's largest platform for machine learning and data science competition, was also announced by Google.
Kaggle was founded in 2010 by Goldbloom and Ben Hamner. There are now about 1 million data scientists on the platform, which is basically the best choice for data science and machine learning competitions.
Google’s acquisition may be Kaggle’s user base rather than technology. This acquisition can be said to have bought the largest and most active community of data scientists, and Google can raise the attention of this group.
Although Kaggle is in a fierce competition in the industry, drivers such as DrivenData, TopCoder, and HackerRank are still eyeing, and Kaggle still maintains its leading position by taking advantage of first-mover advantage and focus on segmentation.
Google Cloud signed a big customer
At today's conference, Diane Greene, head of Google Cloud, disclosed that he has signed new big customers.
For example, Colgate, HSBC and eBay. One of the most noteworthy is that Google Cloud grabbed a single business from Microsoft: Verizon Communications has more than 150,000 employees and will switch from Microsoft Office to Google's G Suite.
Alphabet Chairman Schmidt revealed at the conference that he has invested $30 billion in Google Cloud. "We have money, means and commitment to provide everyone with the new computing platform they need," Schmidt said. "Please don't try to copy this model, your money has better usage."
In addition, Google Cloud also announced a strategic partnership with SAP to integrate Google Cloud and machine learning solutions with SAP enterprise applications.
GALOCE custom Load Pin Series are compact size load pins designed for tension and compression measurements. Loadpins are force sensors which are being installed in applications for measuring dynamic, static or hoisting forces. They can be applied on clevis pin shackles, loading cranes, lifting fittings, sprockets and pulley axles by replacing existing shear pins, clevis bolts, clevis pins, shear axles and many other types of pinned joints to control or monitor reaction load on the pins.
If you have specific drawing or you want us to design your loadpin, please do not hesitate to contact us. Please send an e-mail to info@galoce.com, fill in your contact information and we will contact you.
